Prado 9/25/09

So today me, my dad and bro decided to check out Prado Lake for the first time. It was kind of a crazy day since we went to the lake right after we got out of work, but boy o boy it was worth it. We got to the lake when it opened at 8, and we set up base next to the boat docks. We started out with our cat fish catchin poles, all set up with C-rigs and mackerel once those hit the water, we set up our second poles for some Bluegill action using DS with night crawlers and meal worms. It turned out to be a very fun day with my dad and bro.

At the end of the day i was surprised that we were able to catch any cats since they stopped stocking on the 17th. My dad was targeting the bluegills today and he did pretty well.

Final Counts
Me - 2 cats, 4 bg's
Dad - 5 bg's, 2 dinky lmb's both released :)
Bro - 1 cat, 2 bg's

Thanks for checking out my post, hopefully i can post a good and successful trip tomorrow from NPH :Smile:

Haha ya I really didn't expect to catch any cats, we were pretty much next to the boat docks the whole time. Maybe next time I'll try the damns, hopefully I can catch more cats, just sucks to know that catfish season is over, but then again trout season is coming soon :). Yea it was pretty cool to get out and fish with my dad and bro, espcially my dad tho cuz he's always busy haha
