Fished the Endeavor. This is the12th annual Pinoy Boys Charter We had the tailgate party on the boat prior to departure. We had tons of food onboard. We could have fed the whole landing if we wanted to. We had lumpias, sisig, kings hawaiian chicken, kimbap, pizzas and a variety of desserts. We also had cooler full of coronas and soju’s.

Day 1 started kinda slow. Maybe 5-10 fish per stop. Then we hit a magic paddy around noon. I can see fish everywhere. Free gaffers paradise!!! YT, Dorados and YFT on this stop. I can see a schools of YT & Dorados right next to the boat. I had grabbed my curado prior to this stop and quickly got zing powed!! lol Grabbed the 40lb rig and went to work! It was a complete mayhem. Boated 8 fish off this flurry… The guys fishing the jigs n poppers were killing it as well. Fish were just dying everywhere! We pretty much limited on this stop. We did release quite a few firecracker yellowtails n skippies. We also had a nice sun downer bite. The bigger models came out to play. Nice 30-40 lbers that needed 2 gaffs. Nice way to end the day. We had our 2 day limit on the yellowfins with a decent count on the yellowtails and dorado’s. Captain announced that we’ll be hunting for albacores & bluefins the next day. Not sure what happened on day 2. I was pretty much seasick and was on bunk status the next day. I was told that day 2 was booty….They spent the day eating, playing poker and watching videos. This is my best trip so far. I will never be the same again…lol Thanks to Dillon Street Tuna Club for inviting me and having me aboard their charter once again. It’s been 9yrs. since I last fished the Pinoy Boys Charter. Also special thanks to the Endeavor. Top notch crew! I didn’t really get to take pics I was too busy fishing n bsing around. I will post a link after all the pics & videos have been compiled. Good times!!!!

Total counts for 2 days for 21 anglers was limits on yellowfin, 65 Yellowtail and 40 Dorado

4 fish??? u should’ve been on this one…lol I’ll trade you fillets for some banh mi…deal? Yeah the swell picked up pretty good saturday night. I’ll just blame it on too much food n alcohol. I saw your chartermaster friend from ucla last Friday. He was fishing the Legend.

Looks like a good trip. Salamat.

Thanks for the trophy suggestion! That would be hilarious. Mako was kinda small I just tried to make it look bigger on the picture. Deckhand says about 100lbs. I’ll PM u a video link. Mako on the gaff while deckies r cutting the head off. Lots of blood. You be the judge. Too bloody to post….lol

where is this pinoyboys crew??

Not sure what u r asking? Dillon St. Tuna club hosted the charter based in Los Angeles. Pinoy Boys is more of a theme since majority of the anglers are Filipino. Every meal on the charter came with rice….for example breakfast is fried rice, eggs, and Filipino sausage. Even the deserts have rice…lol well u get the picture.

All,

Just wanted to chime in..............
A buddy and I went on the Endeavor a couple weeks back on a 1.5 day trip.
I want EVERYBODY to know that both the trip and the crew were great!
Caught a ton of fish, YT, YFT, Skippies and my FIRST Dorado!
Couldn't have asked for any better.
I do have a problem though, it appears that the Endeavor is stricktly a chartered boat.
Too bad, I wish they would run more "open" party trips in the 1.5 to 2 day range as they would definetly have a repeat customer.

Tight Lines All,

Looks like you guys had a great time on the salt. I'm looking forward to getitng out again to see if I can score a Dorado or two. The tuna come too easy right now. Still fun to play with them. Cool to have a shark get in the mix like that.

I agree, Endeavor has a hard working crew. I did ask them about an open party trip. I guess they pretty much do charter only. They did say they had one open party trip. I also received my fillets in excellent condition. I was on an overnighter a week b4 and my fillets was starting to get a bit mushy by the time I got home.

Thanks hope I can get out again soon. I was able to get 3 dorados on this trip. Not sure if this helps but all 3 was on lighter line (20#) with lively big dines and light wire hooks.

Congrats on a great trip. The Endeavor rocks as it is a fish finding machine. Captain Dave aka Sueno, Diron, Russ, Andrew, Little John, Jason, Eddie are the hardest working guys on the water. Every year, the Endeavor is booked solid from mid-June through the end of September. While many boats were tied to the docks or out with light loads during this recession, Sueno was out fishing.

Glad u enjoyed the fish. Someone made kimchee poke on day 2. I didn’t get to try it since I was seasick at the time. Heard it was pretty good too. I missed out.
