View Full Version : Absolutly EPIC day for the kitties at Skinner!

got out a 6:30 to hunt for stripers for no love so we headed to the catfish hole at 8:30. it was on pretty much from the first cast. anyway we kept 20...lost 4 to broken 10 lb leaders. any we left them biting which i hate. it was unreal...nothing little really maybe 2 lbs aned most of them were thrown back... i was having boat problems so i was figuring that out after we got home... it was a battery ...so hopefully it is only 70 bucks... off the water at 12:30...finally on the way home after cleaning the fish and boat @ 2:30...
best catfish day at a non pay lake ever...............totally amazing..


Counting and maybe culling a few I will never tell

See that skinny tall guy there at the end, that is me! If anyone that knows me and has not seen me in a year...there is a 160 less pounds of me to seee!!!!!

Who's the new guy in the white shirt? Great job out there today pete and is that your pops? Those look like some tasty fish, good luck on the Interstate battery issues. We did the p.m troll/picnic thing this afternoon and one of the kids nailed a fatty Gil... All that construction at skinner is for a amphitheater and something for the kids...

The skinny guy in the white t-shirt and Notre Dame Fighting Nutgrabbers hat needs to get out of the pic. He is ruining an otherwise great shot of a whole mess of catfish. I feel sorry for whoever had to clean that mess and whoever has to eat them for that matter.

Good job Pete...I was waiting for your post once I got your text. That lake skinner for you once you find the catfish hole it's just like taking candy from a baby. It's fun when once the bait hit the water your pole is already bendoooo.
The fishing should be good all week since the weather is going to be hot all week long. See you on the water

oh an i cant wait bob. i have been hitting lake hemet for the trout every since dvl closed... but it is not the same.

they taste good i have been told... i dont eat fish!! YUK!! but w got an 8lber a couple weeks ago and i was told it tasted like mud...
You can soak it in buttermilk over night and it will take that taste out, or i have been told...
