Went to bed early last night cause i wasn,t feeling well:Sad:,Woke up at 3AM feeling alot better ,But now i was running a fever{STRIPER FEVER}:LOL:.

Sooo by 3 45 am i was at the duct looking for a little medicine:Wink:.

Wife says that this kind of behavior is insane,LOL,,,DUHHHH i say:Rolls Eyes:.

ON WITH THE REPORT.

At the spot by 3 45 am,, water was moving along a little faster pace then id hoped for,but still fishable.

Started with the rattle baits,NO LOVE:mad:
Switched to the jerkbait,s, THAT DID THE TRICK!!!!!!!

1st cast HOOKUP, Pulled really hard in the hvy current, He was at least 24 ,probably 25 inches and extremly fat. Whatever this fish had in its belly was big,,,,almost looked like his stomach was going to burst.

Took me forever to dig all the hooks out of him so no pic of that 1,,,got him back into the water ASAP.

Only landed 1 more ,,a nice little 4lbr that also put up a valliant fight.

I was able to get a quick pic of him before releasing him back into the c,river

Had 2 more hookups at that same spot but farmed them both,,.

Was done fishing by 5 am and back at the house by 5 30 am,,Still dark outside,,LOL

Sure do feel better now,,,my temp is back down to 98 to 99 deg and holding steady,,,FOR NOW:Cool:

Way to cure the fever! Maybe the first one had a perch or two in the gut?

Yep,,,or am,shad,,,,,,,,,,,A few weeks back i seen a guy at that same spot catch a 14in american shad on a rapala x,rap

That's better than stocker trout fishing, lol.

Have not seen any shad at all this year out here.

The shad popul, up here seems to have increased ALOT from last year<threadfin>.

Been seeing alot of them around the siphons up here.

Earlier this year my bud C,BAIT seen a school of large AM,SHAD posted up at a set of gates also<<BIG STRIPER CANDY!!<<<<

OVERALL ,more bait in the duct this year then ive seen in a long time.

Right on. let em get all plump from the food. Check my new duct report. I caught a kitty with something I have not seen in all my 20+ years of duct fishing in it's throat.
