Hit the lake bright and early this morning, and I must say it was a decent morning. Able to land a limit by 8am with alot of missed hookups. All fish were in the 1 1/2 to 2lb range. Highlight of the morning was when Pops is able to hook into and land a 5lb 12oz. Fatty. This fish took him on a good run, on 6lb test. Props goes out to you Old Man, you still got it. Lots of pics were taken of todays catch, but only one is worthy of FNN.
Now GET OUT AND FISH!

That's very cool man! Great photo! My dad is an awesome fisherman too, though we don't get out much anymore. (he's 87) Stay close to your dad bro and go fishing as often as you can. Tell your old man I said congrats!

Nice catch - awesome colors on that bass! Trying to get to Perris soon for the first time, had some setbacks, but looking forward to it.

thats a awesome pic, probly one of the best i've seen on this site. the cool thing here is that doesn't look like a LMB but a spotted bass. i could be wrong but i think its a spotty though. either way its a toad and a beauty

great job man. thats the coolest colors ive ever seen on a bass out of perris. thats awesome bro. it does kinda look like a spotty, thats crazy. im sure theres gotta be a few spotties left lurking in there. back in the days there were no largemouth in perris. all spotties! too bad sum1 messed it up and introduced largies!

You guys are probably right, It probably is a spot. I dont attempt to distinguish between the two.

Defnitely a spot....spotted black streak down the center of the fish.....and also the dorsal fin. VERY different than a LMB. Way to go. that is a huge spot!!!

It's NOT an Alabama Spotted Bass. Just a well marked Largemouth. See them all the time.
