I've heard there are striped bass in the main river, but can you get them in the Palo Verde Canal area too? Is it similar to how you fish for them at say Castaic Lake, looking for boils and such?

The Striper fishing is on the main river below the Palo Verde Diversion, aprox. 11 miles above Blythe, on the calif. side you cross tha canal via bridge to access the river. The striper fishing is good on white buctail jigs, plugs and shad that you can net along the rocks when their running. It can be fantastic at times, I have had my best trips in May and June, it gets pretty darn hot after that. Good Luck , Marshhawk
