Bucket bay

Went down to S.D Friday night with a friend of mine lunch out of shelter Island at about 5 Am. Start trolling at dawn about 5 miles south of the Coronado island, I spotted a kelp paddy about 30 minutes into the troll we made the decision to troll past it and what do you know jig strike left him hanging and fly line a dean out and I’m on this dodo was jumping every way after a minutes true the hook then .My homie hooks up and brings in a nice yellow fin tuna then. I pick up the jig fish I had left hanging it was a nice dodo next ting you know there was four boats around us and that kelp went dead o well back to the troll looking for or next kelp and we got another yellow fin on the jig stop turned due est. At the 425 to the 101 then we ran into another nice kelp where we found fish, under the kelp that did not want to corporate on live bait so. I broke out the lucky craft pointer 78 and my bass rod, made a cast next to the kelp did the jerk ,jerk pause and slam fish on it made quite .A few good runs got him to the boat and it was a peanut yellow tail, that was the last fish, of the day the dodos, would follow the LC but would not commit to eating, it or live bait, back home in LA at 5 pm. water temp was 70 all day.
