For the past couple of weeks I been having no luck on Mr. Stripers so I decided to give it another shot today to see if my luck has come back to me. Got to the lake around 6:15 in the morning and didn't even exactly remember when the gate was opened. Cuz I was day dreaming about catching stripers on the surface all day the day before. :Big Grin: As soon as they let us in I went straight down and start looking for the boils. Saw a few here and there but never had a chance to threw my lure cuz they were so fast. I've been running back and forth chasing after them and you know what both of my legs almost fallen apart. Some of you might think that I'm crazy. Whatever you guys think. You've got that right! I am crazy when it comes to fishing. I missed a lot of boils cuz I either got my line tangle with my own lure or other fishermen's line. :Embarrassed: Not only that I also missed a lot of strike too. Most of them are big one.:Angry:Anyway, at the end of the day I managed to land a few decent models. Better than nothing, I guess.

If you don't mind me asking. What where you using? Those are some nice fish, and me and my Uncle have been thinking of going to Castaic but we have never caught any Stripers there. I've heard anchovies are good as well as any lure that resembles a shad. But I've heard the best is live shad. Whats your opinion? Thank you :Big Grin:

I would go for live shad for sure. You could net them at the dock. They usually hang around there a lot. Good luck and have fun fishing out guys.
