Hit the lake around 6am, got to the first spot and started throwing a whacky rigged senko. Threw this bait for about an hour, for no love. The whole time my pops is in the back of the boat, and he is loosing fish left and right. He would have had his limit by 8am if it were not for his poor hooksets. He finally manages to land a 1 and a half lb largie to beat the skunk. So I decided to tie on the same bait he is using, and not even 10 casts later I hook into this beautiful 6lb 7oz largie. She puts up one hell of a fight, I was stripping line by hand, and she kept pulling drag also. Note she is blind in one eye. So I get her to the boat and take the time out to weigh her and take a pic, and back into the deep water she went. About 15mins later I cast to the same area where the first pig came out of. I feel a vicous strike, and after yet another good fight I am able to land a 5lb 6oz piggy. The bite seemed to die off after that for me, so we decided to call it a day at around 10am. Enjoy the fish porn, and get out and fish.

why would you pull line out by hand ? was your reel broken?

Na, my drag was set to tight and the way the fish was pulling made me react. It was the first thing that came to mind.
