fished from the shore from 4pm to closing time. totally sucked, not one bite. two early boils, one required a 4.2 second 40-yard dash and i was late and the other one required a boat.

cut anchovies sucked my a__, as did senkos on the texas and carolina rigs. still, i guess nature is nice ... for me to poop on!

Been there before, sometimes Castaic is a heartbreaker. Good to be out though, way to look at the positive side. The sardines have been working more than the anchovies lately. Don't know where you were fishing, but try the West Ramp or the right of the Marina There are some reports of stripers boiling in the evenings within the Marina. Could offer a chance for some topwater action, within casting distance.
