What do you think about taking a 1985 17' Glastron openbow out of HB and taking it over to the long beach breakwall? This will be our first trip in the ocean and I thought staying within the breakwall would be our best bet with this type of boat. Thanks

i think you should take it outa long beach. much shorter ride.

Can I launch at 2nd street by marine stadium?

i dont know. the only 1 that ive launched at is in the harbor to the right of the pch bridge as you go over the channel.

You should be fine at either one. Yes, you can launch from Daveys (2nd street). That will take you straight out to the east end of the breakwall.

Check conditions before you go. If your boat is running well, you could possibly hit the oil islands or even Catalina on a good day. I have friends that take their Skeeter bass boats to Clemente Island. Crazy fuggers, but they make sure to check conditions before they go. Plus, they've got crazy speeds with that 250.
