This setup is pretty nice in the salt.
7' med mod Carrot Gold w/ customized Daiwa Sol
Killer for LC's and 3" big hammers.

For the fresh I still like my 6' GL2 rod the best. For fresh reels obviously my Steez is my favorite now. Still have yet to get a rod for it though.

Can't decide...

Tie i think between

Shimano Scorpion 1000 mg and Powell 682c

and

Shimano Calcutta 150 and Shimano Compre 7' MH Fast

The top combo is so light, but i can't stop going back to my calcutta, it seems whatever rod that thing goes on, i fish the most. I like all my setups and use all of them a lot. But those two stand out the most. The Compre is one he!! of rod for $100...!!!

1. Luna 203 and Phenix X-10 crankbait rod
2. Calcutta 400B and Phenix 711XH swimbait rod

The first set up is awesome for tossing LCs to halibut and pretty much any reaction bait under 1oz for largemouth. The second handles all the swimbaits I've used with it very nicely, and I have never had a problem with it. It's not my favorite though because I don't toss big baits as much as I fish for halibut from the surf.

My dropshot rod definitely gets the most use, so the Kistler LTX2 He2M69S and Shimano Stradic 1000 takes the top spot. My second pick I'd say is the Kistler LTA He69APC and Shimano Chronarch 100MG. When they called this rod "All Purpose Casting", they weren't kidding. I've used this combo with spinnerbaits to 1/2oz., buzzbaits, jerkbaits, and flylining senko's.

I love my new setup of the Shimano Calcutta TE 200 and G Loomis MBR783C GLX. Casts long and has great feel.

Ive had a Quantum Energy PTI Reel and St Croix Avid spinning setup that has always done me right for years as well.

Hahahaha Nice setups Guys! I'm thinking of saving up (probably next year) to get a Gloomis GLX 7'6" Med. Heavy Light swimmie rod, has the perfect action! Or a 7'6" Shimano Crucial MH w/ either a Curado or a Sol? Idk but I gotta start saving up! I also love my 7' Heavy Talavera w/ Avet SX and My Cal-Star 700M with a Pro-Gear GR3000.... Gonna start the salt thing so Gotta suit up for so YFTs or YTs!

Dude, YFT, YT, Dodos, and Bluefins have been frothing all the water south of San Diego for the last week. GO NOW! We killed them last week.

Either my Alphas or Calcutta 50(sold it though) with a custom Rainshadow DS or BH swimmie stick. Hmmm probably the Calcutta. Man I really want another one...Hmmm...

Hahaha Kevin, What boat did you go on?? Maybe I'll go somewhere this weekend.... IDK if I'll get the Cuddy anymore.... If MLPA does it's closures, it sure as hell won't have any real use for me and I'll just get that bass boat I was talkin' about..... lol.....
