around 3:30pm during rush hour traffic on the 210 eastbound nearing the 605 thinkin to myself i'd rather fish these choice spots from the L.A. circut..called up one of the locals that frequent those lakes around the 605 on the map and some off the grid..sshhh..:Wink:..thanx smokinflies, it's good to have connects in every county for times like this..got the info on where to find peck and met up with smokinflies for a lil leggular hospitality..learned alot of new techniques on fishing with t*rigg..it didn't work as well for me so i broke out "lil red riding hood" with 2lb test #6 mosquito hook with red powerbait worm ripped 3/4..caught a few dinkys and a lil gill, small guys but not a skunk in my book..chilled awhile longer and B*$h!ted with smokey talkin about poachers, lurkers and everything thats wrong with these local ponds..(some of your names popped up..:ROFL:) left before 6:30 and ran in to a check point set up in the peck lot and if you know this spot, there is only room for a 1 way entrance...so i had to drop smokes off on the sidewalk to walk in and get his ride, got directions from peck to legg and smokey's choice spot that always hooks him up with fish..10 min later at legg, find the spot and fished it robo d*shot a few cast later caught my first legg basshttp://i755.photobucket.com/albums/xx200/motopuaina/09-04-09_1859.jpg..dinky but a bass none the
less..rolled up at 8:30...traffic still hot, till around 57 and 60 got home in an hours time...FASTFORWARD>>>>11:30 jumped online check my replies on some these post got loads of pm's and danny300 wants to hit the wash, cool..text him the meet up spot and time..midnight run..seen fishing rend- and anglers down to make the run..so i text him and got a reply of a FISH*FAIL no worries bro my wife gets wiery when i get short notice text and try to leave all of a sudden. lol, on the next one bro..Danny300 and I hit the wash around 12:30 the hive side didn't give out much, moved along to the south shore a.k.a ant island and hooked one, after a few more cast rolled on to cove 1 & 2 no fish kept on till pipe and barrel and wham danny hooks his wash fish, after a few cpr we rolled to the wall for some I.E. pier fishing farmed 2 with lil red (remember 2lbs test and i don't know how to reel it up when i hook up..)danny300 about 2 off the wall bass...did a rewind aorund 4:30am and hooked up again at the pipe and barrel, that's where lil red lost her hood, damn bass gave me fierce hit and run all i hear is snap, before i even knew it line snapped..rerigged for gills and just caught dinky and 1/2 lbers, still a good fight on 2lb test..cove 2 was on fire too..lost count on fish but not the good times heres some pics of my day of unfortunate events..thanx to all who made a $hitty traffic jam into a detour a basshunting..http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/xx200/motopuaina/08-26-09_2209.jpghttp://i755.photobucket.com/albums/xx200/motopuaina/09-05-09_0605.jpghttp://i755.photobucket.com/albums/xx200/motopuaina/09-05-09_0611.jpghttp://i755.photobucket.com/albums/xx200/motopuaina/09-05-09_0637.jpghttp://i755.photobucket.com/albums/xx200/motopuaina/09-05-09_0653.jpghttp://i755.photobucket.com/albums/xx200/motopuaina/09-05-09_0758.jpg i'll hit the water with you again 300..
