If anyone wants to do some trout fishing over the labor day weekend green valley is the spot . On Thursday there was three stockings; alper's stocked 1000 pounds, Jess Ranch stocked 1000 pounds and the state stocked 500. Me and three friends got to the lake at 6:30 yesterday and the fishing was wide open i must have released 20 state and jess ranch fish to get my five alper limit. The biggest was around 4 pounds but i saw a few pushing 8 swimming around by the dam.

I see you were on a boat. Jigs & Powerworms?

Do you know how people from shore did on jigs?

Great photos!!

90% of the fish were caught jigging with orange power worms. U can do ok from the shore but getting a boat and going to the dam if the best bet.

Its interesting how different lakes/ponds seem to have have preference with different lures. GVL seem to beg a powerworm lake although jigs work too. Other places, the best trout fisherman swear by jigs.

NICE FISH![/QUOTE]

The aerators have been good but the dam bit has been alittle more consistent.
