sorry guys still new to salt and trying to be legal.
looking over the 07 reg book im confused? Do rockfish have a season or any closures along the coast (not the protected parts of the island, etc.) ? I see the info for lings but not Rockfish?
Does anyone else find the Ca. marine regulations book confusing?

That book is the biggest piece of sh*t it obviously was written by a bunch of pencil pushers who have never picked up a rod and reel. it sucks that we have to abide by rules that arent written in plain simple mans english. all that book should contain is pictures of fish with a min size limit and bag limit, and a map of where you CAN fish for them and a map where you CAN'T fish for them. they could use all the pages left over for recipes on how to cook all the different kinds of fish to catch.
