With all these reports, I just had to go. Went to the 1010, started trolling at 6am....Limits by 7am on Yellowfin. We could not believe it, a sure first for me as much as I fish. First stop was double on the troll....1 on cedar, 1 rapala xrap deep diver. Then 10 on bait WOW. just fun fun fishing. After we got our limit, we started to look for paddys.....Until we hit the right one near the hidden, it went wide open for limits of dorado and a few yellowtail.

This is one of those times, where you just have to take a day off and go fishing becuase its THAT GOOD.

Weather was flat flat, no wind, no swell.....28 knots going out, 28 knots going in

CONTACT whoever you can to get on a boat. SEASONS SPORTFISHING , TAILWALKER, sporties...whatever......

SEASONS has been doin an awesome jjob putting people on fish....

Everyone was reporting limits of yellowfin and it was only 8am....wtf? thats usually never happens.

if you need anymore details, shoot me a pm, more than willing to help anyone out. Plenty of fish to be had for everyone....local banks doing well also.

We started to head back from the hidden around 9am.....at first we had 4 trollers out while we started cleaning fish. And we kept hooking up and at this point we were no longer keeping anyfish. we didnt bother baiting anymore....we were done.

after 3 stops, we just put one rod out on the troll with the cedar. trolling 12 knots.....and we still kept getting them.....then we just stopped trolling.

awesome awesome fishing. couldnt emphasize anymore for all of you guys to go out and fish. doesnt matter where....but big numbers came from the 1010.

We had over 50 fish for 4 guys for a little over 3 hours of fishing. here are the pics

Wow sick i have been reading the reports also WFO on the tuna i need to get out there soon. Next time try putting your reels in free spool when the seal is near your fish sometimes the fish will out swim the seal if it has enough energy left. Thanks for the post nice job Slaying,,,

Looks like outstanding fishing!

Hopefully the fish don't move too much in the next couple days and we can find them where they are concentrated and closer in. The trench is a long haul on a PB (65 miles?)...

Always a pretty sight to see a fish bag where you can't zipper it shut. LOL!

thanks sansou,

the close banks are doing great also, just not as concentrated. the 1010 is about 67 nautical miles (78 miles) from Point loma

Too bad about the trip w/the seals. Tough fishing when they're out there and hungry.
Now the other trip...Hell yeah!! That's the kind of trip that memories are made of. I've been fortunate to be on a boat when fishing gets that wide open. Usually it doesn't last more than a day or two if even if that. I just consider myself lucky to be on the boat when it happens.
Some very nice bull dodos you got.
Nice catch all the way around.
