Some big Pargo I caught in Puerto Vallarta two weeks ago.

I think I saw you post this elsewhere.
The real beasts in your pic are those barred pargo. I caught a few pitching the LC in the foam/rocks off 3 Marriettas but none as big as the ones you are holding up.
Definately some of the best tasting fish around.

BEAUTIFUL fish, those are some of the bigger pargo I have seen photos of.....congrats!

The barred pargo are very tough to land pitching lures in shallow water near rocks. These were caught far offshore with heavy gear so it made it easier. Got 4 one day all about that size. I hear they get much bigger but those were the biggest I've seen.

It struck me yesterday that I had never seen mullet snapper as big as those two bigger ones, so I looked up the all tackle record and it looks like it's only 45lbs. Both of mine were over that. Doh!!! For some reason I thought the record was around 80lbs so I didn't bother to take mine in.
