Wow it's been almost a year since I went fishing last year in Mammoth! Yikes thats too long between trips!

Well we went up for the weekend for my buddy's 34th birthday and rented a cabin for the weekend. We woke early Saturday and went down to the lake at 6:30, and GVL was packed! There was people everywhere! We found a place next to the gate by the beach area and Rick got a hit right away.

We proceded to catch fish through out the morning, Gerardo got his first fish on a trout worm of any kind, which was the pink/white lip ripperz.

Later on the kids came down and we got the kids to hook into some fish too, which was awesome. In all we kept 11 trout, probably released another 15-20 more, but none of any size, most were just about 3/4 pound to a pound.

We finished up the night with a great birthday dinner!

That pic was at 7 in the morning, but I was in shorts and a t-shirt at that time.
