I was out there chasing boils early and only got into one that stayed up long enough to get on. My son was using a XPS jerk bait and they were really liking it. Got a dink on the first cast and then hooked up with a decent fish( 3lb-9oz). I was throwing flies while he was killing on the jerk. So on the next fish I put the curse of using a net on him by totally taking him out of action, netted his XPS with both trebles. That kept him busy while I threw my flies to no avail. Then we went looking for more boils while doing the T/O troll. My son had never seen the troll method before, made a believer out of him.
The rats were very cooperative but only had one hookup that felt like a bigger unit but it came unbuttoned. The Station Fire was billowing smoke in the distance and as we reeled in 6 doubles to fill out our limits for fish tacos.
Sauce= cup mayo+cup sour cream+2 Chipotle peppers+juice 1/2 lemon (blender) Enjoy

I told him not to hold that fish out so far, it looks like he has 4 pounds of fingers.

Haha, nice sauce recipe! Do you use chipolte in adobo? Now that makes some great spicy fish taco sauce! :Thumbs Up:

They were boiling everywhere today, the east end more than the west end, Olympic swimming pool size boils straight out across from the east launch. So no love on the fly, what were you using if you don't mind? It looked like they would hit about anything stripped fast across the surface, next time. I like that net trick....I"ll have to keep that in mind.

Tried chart/white clousers and white zonker. Been tying a combo white rabbit strip with silver flashabou layered with purple bucktail and topped it off with olive bucktail. Size 4 saltwater Diiachi hook. May have to get back up there Thursday or Friday to try it. Thinking about adding some eyes too.

Nice catch. Thanks for posting.

The deal with the net timeout is an affective tactic. :Razz:Harsh!
