Went to castaic this morning for a half day session. Trolled a bit for a handful of fish while scouting for boils. Nailed a half dozen or so and found what we were looking for. Treated to MAJOR boils. Something you see back in the day ocean fishing and seeing a foamer of yellows, cuda, or bonita. These things were going banannas!! I saw a school of shad race under the boat and Mr stripey was on em big time..Fish completely out of the water, bait fish leaping. It was full on fish porn. KPN was tied on and skinnny shad draw first blood on the topwater. Nailed a couple, and switched to the hologram Kroc>>OH BOY!!! Picked 3 more off and my biggest of the day. maybe 5lbs. Lost another nice one when one of my stringer loops busted off, and stripey went bye bye! We had to leave them biting as work was calling! Also lost another KPN in the frenzy! My buddy ralph used My skinny shad and nailed a few also, he is now a believer! Great day out there. Released the smaller ones and kept a limit for the table. One of the most memorable days I will ever have at Castaic. Fish were flopping on the deck, and the blood runneth over!broke in some new gear in a fine style!!!Pics will post later today. I wanted to snap some shots of the boils but ITS SO HARD TO PUT THE ROD DOWN IN THAT KINDA FRENZY!!!BLOOD STARTS PUMPING!!!

morning there were sporadic boils, but afternoon we found a ripper of about 10to 30 mins, chased it from some points out to the deeper water . Mr stripey pinned em up against a bank and had a field day.
