Ok guys I'm back.. here's my view of the fishing trip on the Malihini
a 3/4 day off San diego, not a luxury boat but a hardcore fishing one

I lost count of the yellows but I kept 4
so did my buddies, wide open fishing

The boat

We wanted to go on this boat for a while,
and every time I jump on this boat is crazy fishing,
great crew, good food, cold drinks and great memories

The open invite was there, all invited, come with us next time,
Walter saw the potential and acepted my invitation
to go on the Malihini, Joshep, (clobersaurus)
also decided to come and join the massacre ..we needed more top guns

The morning started with Walter bringing
some delicious tacos and rice pudding
that filled me up with energy,
thanks Walt, that was very nice of you.

The parking lot was full we had to park next to the best western hotel
there is a parking there, 5 bucks all day...
I paid, but I still got a ticket of non payment..wtf

Joseph(Clobbesaurus) arrived,
and give us some nice shirts with a yelowtail logo
very apropiate for the trip, thanks Jospeh, your t-shirts rule

Once in the boat, the deck hand was yelling instructions
in a strange language, sounded like the tasmanian devil to me:D
bajdodoieuedjsisdyaveryskgayjsjeposn!! :wtf:

The day started slow and then we found the school
Walter was at the corner using live bait,
sardine nose hooked on 20 pound fluoro
with small weigth in the 1/4 oz
and said.. aaaaaaarrrrrrhgg!! first one of the day..

http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo320/eddiefishtaco/wlatbendo2.jpg

woo hoo! we found the school !
Walter fought that yellowtail like a pro
then he yelled ... Color!! the gaff came to the rescue

http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo320/eddiefishtaco/waltcolor2.jpg

and the party began
with Walters yellowtail...

Malihini style

the next stop was cool
we were quiet, just toosing sardines
when the deck hand screamed ..

You guys are very quiet! say something!

and I yelled... hook up!! and hell broke loose again

a nice yellowtail decide to bite
and test my new Newell 322 reel
that I spooled with 25 pound p-line cxx smoke blue

http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo320/eddiefishtaco/eddiesmileyellow.jpg

then it was Joshep (clobesaurus) turn
the man was sorry he opened dodoman's private messages
that we think gave him the bad dodo-jinx
and he was in team dodo (skunk) for a while

but then he yelled...

Fresh one !!

http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo320/eddiefishtaco/josheopyellowp.jpg

and the day continued with the same action
with Joshep , Walterr and I yellow-yelling

until lunch time, we had a delicious cheesebruger
and I got my MONSTER drink
to have more energy,
I was getting lazy and lost a big yellow
for not re-tiying the line, guys after a big fish,
while you catch your breath
re-tie the line if youre using 20 pounds or less,
even if you don't see a nick
the line has been weaken and streched out..
do it! re-tie
and the sac will thank you for that

Walter posing

with another yellow

woo-hooo!

http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo320/eddiefishtaco/wlateyellows.jpg

and me with the fishtaco's 2 fish shot...LOL

Granpa (the old guy fightnig a fish)
was a first timer, had nothing, zero, nada, and Walt gave him the rod
so he could fight the fish Walter had just hooked,
the policy is ...
nobody get's skunk while fishing with the top guns
there you go Malihini, we promised to take care of your clients
and your counts
http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo320/eddiefishtaco/granpahooked1.jpg

thanks to the Malihini crew for a nother great day of fishing
and god for providing food at our table
amen.

Hi eddiefishtaco,

Nice job on the fishys. Much appreciate the great report. Nice size for some lite-tackle fishing for sure ... iffin' structure wasn't much of a problem of course. Fluoro Rules !!

Thank you.

the bite is at open waters
they bite 20 to 25 pound line more often than 30
I'll use 25 # fluoro to be safe
because the big ones are close to 50 pounds
but they won't bite big lines:Sad:

I was using ringed hooks (owner) 2/0
and blackwater fluorocarbon lider
