We departed on Friday 8/21/09 at 6 am out of the Kona Kia marina. We arrived at our destination on 302 spot at about 8am. We started to troll four lines and 15 minutes later we had one dorado. I did not have my camera ready so I did not take a picture. We started trolling again and 30 minutes later bang two lines begin to run out. The boat stops and two guys get on the fish. two seconds later on black strip marlin jumps out and we all get stund. Three seconds after that a second black strip marlin jumps out and at this time we are all really excited. It took 45 minutes to 1 hour to pull the first marlin out. The second marlin broke off after 35 minutes of battle. We trolled for another two hours and could not find any more fish. Decided to return to the marina to weigh the marlin. 165 lbs is what the official scale said.
