Salad buffet, murky water, and lots of pounding.... I was prepared to go home with a :Skunk:
Finally found a spot with less salad...wasnt a whole lot better but fishable.

Japan Ron Aside 1: Fishing straight spectra
I tried fishing straight spectra(with a short leader) in the surf for the first time...I'm loving it! I can feel every little tap and can tell what kind of structure im fishing on. It also saves a whole lot of time because i dont have to worry about breaking my line when i wrap around kelp...I can give it a yank and cut thru it like butter! The downside is that my chances of ripping the hook out of a big fish increase...We will see how that goes...
Japan Ron Aside 2: Swimbaits
Havent had much luck on the swimbaits in the surf yet...I did hook one BIG fish but it spit the hook and my bait was destroyed...Anyway... next time the conditions present themselves, Ill be ready...
