I usually give away the fish I catch at Corona but a friend asked me for some catfish. She also asked for some tilapia, but I've never targeted or caught them before. I know Corona has them though. I'll be in a boat fishing for cats, so I won't be targeting tilapia, but how should I fish for them? I've heard worms work well for them, right? Should I use a bobber or fish straight on the bottom? If I'm not in a good tilapia spot is there even a chance of catching them?

Number one, try to go the day they stock them. These fish eat anything that moves so they are usually fished out pretty quickly. The shallows on the south end is good and so is the opposite bank from the landing. Live crickets under a bobber is good, the bobber actually helps attract and some of the dumb ones will hit it.

I've always done well with an inflated half N/C with about a 6 inch leader.
