Fished for about 3 hours. The two of us caught over 10 crappie and 3 lmb. Haven't fished the barrel in a while, but the fish are still biting. All fish were caught on 2lb test with either a crappie jig or a live shad. It was fun Hout and thanks for the invite, Pokerface.

Maybe the barrel can donate a few of its crappie to its sister lake down the hill. She gonna need some breeder stock after the big die-off and this will be a great spawn year with ElNino' and the high water. i know I am going to take a few bucket fulls down there after the weather cools off.

Canyon lake is a private lake, 99% of the people on here can't fish there anyway. my self not included. I can actually fish there when ever I want, but I don't go around to several different fish sites, and make the same post on all of them, knowing the majority of people reading my post won't ever get to fish there anyway. Why tease people. It's a private lake, which means Private. If you want to help these guys, that are trying to get useful information, and not just post to stroke your on ego, then go catch some crappie and bass in a public lake, then post that. Then you will be saying something. anybody can catch fish out of Canyon.

I totaly agree, when I have time I fish and catch all year long, but many here are looking for info, not just to get thier noses rubbed in it, its fun to brag on even ground.
