No yellows today, but the great calico bass fishing more than made up for it.

I would like to thank the crew for getting up earlier than normal. They loaded bait before loading up the passengers, which in turn gave us a little more fishing time. Fish count according to sportfishingreport.com was 27 passengers who caught 43 Halfmoon, 72 Kelp Bass, 7 Pacific Bonito, 34 Ocean Whitefish, 15 California Sheephead, and 1 California Barracuda. I spent most of the day fishing the iron, but came up short on the yellow. They can't hide forever. Maybe next time around.Thanks for reading and goodluck on your next fishing adventure, Pokerface.

Fished the backside awhile back...they were there...they just wouldn't bite ANYTHING. Nice lookin calicos, did you get any on the iron?

Hi pokerface12,

Most excellent. If I want to know how the Persuit and Catalina moo-moo fishing has been doing ... your report is the way to go !! Serious !! Although she did sneak down to hit the awesome Barracuda and Bass flurry we had a bit back !!

As we well know, it is great to see familiar faces on the boat too and usually assures a fun trip !!

Keep throwing that iron ... keep the faith !! The minute you let up ... somebody is gonna get a 30 pounder on the exact iron you have on your favorite stick ....a mere coupla feet away in the rod rack !! Beware !!
