Been some time since I've posted but figured schoolies and sand bass and cuda werent all too much to write home about.

Got out in the morning around 6am in hopes of spotting boils or shad but didnt really see any visual action. First cast of the day off one of the points yeilded a blow up but did not touch the lure :Rolls Eyes:. Fished up and down the fish arm hoping for that school to just surface or get a lone boil but our efforts were fruitless. Trolled Kongo Island and my buddy Kongo (coincidence i swear!) nails one on the small 4in fishtrap (anchovy color). Schoolie! No pic as we know what they look like. 2nd fish came on the sardine fished deep. Another schoolie! lol

Around 1ish we were heading back and a guy from shore nails one on the plug so we boated respectfully within range. First cast on the live sammy gets nailed without even working the bait! Hookup woohoo! Takes about 5mins to subdue the beast on 6lb. Overall sloooooow day but you had to work it. Big ups to Kongo for manning the motor and spotting the breaking fish.

Nice fish and way to land it on 6 lb. test...I would consider beefing up your topwater line...sooner or later its gonna cost you.

Major balls for throwing that LC on 6lbs. It was worth it though!

What JAWS blank is that? How do you like it?
