Went on the Thunderbird out of Davey's Locker in Newport Beach for a 1.5 day trip on 8/17/09. Well they say a picture is worth a thousand words so I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Oh well, the fish were there just didn't want to play with us today. Got outsmarted by a stupid fish today. I'll get'em next time.

Yeah the whole boat scored a big fat zero. Not a single strike all day.

Ricky-Ray: Classic picture! That is exactly what my ice chest looked like after a 2 day trip in early July. One of the guys on that trip bought a new freezer and ice chest and came home with a big skunk-o. I always remind myself that I'm going "fishing" and not "catching." Your next trip will be WFO.

sucks about the empty cooler..you couldve at least made a stop at your local ranch market and filled it up with some lobster and crab.

That cooler was not empty before the day started..he had it filled with cookies, twinkies, ding dongs, and chips...:ROFL:

The whole boat didn't even get a nibble or even a jig strike.
Thanks everyone, I was not expecting this many responses, and I wasn't looking for sympathy or anything like that. The idea to take the pic of them empty cooler popped into my head as I was walking back to my car and I thought it would be a good laugh to post up.
