Got to the pier about seven again. Action was slow using ghosties, and anchovies. Nothin would stick and the bites weren't very often.
Used a smelt for bait n that pole didn't get touch. Packed it up at 11:45 or so n went home for a nap. The tide was wack today. I believe it went 3'2" hi to a 3' low.
After talkin with my girl a little we said what the hell let's try the pm tides. Besides I had 15 or so ghosties left.
We got there about 7pm and the pier was lined with poles. Some parties taking up way too much room.
Anyway found a spot n tossed in a ghostie. Let it hit bottom, reeled in some slack and leaned it against the rail. Got hit before i let it go! Short strike so I re-bait.
Some time goes by n the pole bends again. My girl grabs the rod... FISH ON!
New species for us , YFC. Probably 13". C&R.
I got another one later a little smaller. Then I get bombarded by small sharks. First one was a smoothound I think. CPR and my other pole goes off right after. Small leopard this time.
Ended up getting another leopard 1/2 hour before we left at ten.
Total count:
2- YFC
2- leo sharks
1- smoothound shark

My buddy has pics on his camera he needs to email them to me. Comin soon....
