Yes, this is a "public" lake & you will need a fishing license. All public lakes require a fishing license. It's private lakes--such as Irvine & Santa River Lakes--that don't require a license--just a day use fee. Of course, if you insist on hitting Hansen with no license--and you are busted--be prepared for the courts to "Hoover out" your bank count without mercy. Other than that minor detail, fishing Hansen without a license is absolutely no problem. . .
