Buncha Butts and a TV star 8-13

Hit up the beach this morning hoping to stir up some butts on the LC. No such luck today, but it was literally wide open on the drop shot. I was stacking them up back to back casts.

Stacked up 10 short halibut in 2 hours.
Moved to another spot to escape the shorties and caught nothing at spot 2.
On my way to my final destination, I witnessed them filming a scene of SCI or something. I saw "Detective Horacio Cain" (David Caruso) from SCI miami or whatever and they had a crime scene laid out on this beach house in seal beach! I didn't know miami was in los angeles? haha. That was cool getting to see that dude though. Everyone was in line getting his autograph from him so I figured I'd just keep on keepin' on and save him the signature while enjoying the rest of the scenery. :Wink:

Ya'll know what a bunch of short butts look like. I think like three of them were bout 19" or so but the rest were pretty small. I'll throw a pic up later if I get around to it. At least I got to hear the drag sing.

what kind of hooks do you use to dropshot for Butts?

i think he uses mosquito hooks but i like 1/0 gamagatsu d/s finesse hooks. there a little beefyer.

That's why I LOVE dropshotting. It always produces...well....Most of the time...LOL
Sometimes they just aren't aggressive enough to chase a hardbait but the DS in front of their face is what it takes. That's why Wingnut and I always assault every spot with both tactics and it usually pays off.

The CSI Miami is shot in LA, in fact near my house around Rosecrans and Aviation in El Segundo/Manhattan Beach area is where the "Miami Dade Police HQ" building is, and I've seen the Miami-Dade PD hummers driving around.
