I had some leftover ghost skrimps i had to use before they went bad so I headed to south Samo with my bro.

Its funny...I leave my house and it looks like a beautiful day. The sun is shining, no wind, not a cloud in the sky.

I go to work with the c-rig...a few casts and im hooked on something NICE. I gain a little line, it takes a little back. We go back an forth for a few mins...then it just runs straight out. WTH! This thing is about to spool me so i tighten my drag...theres no stopping this thing...my line goes snap!

Retie...Cast way out...and hook a new species from the surf for me

They were in pretty shallow...

There were some chewed up sand crabs washing up on shore...I looked for some beds but couldnt find any...

Tried some swimbaits, crankbait, kroc with no luck...

I found this website with some cool info on California Sharks and Rays...just thought i would share.

Yep. The one thing I've learned about fishing in the Salt...always bring a jacket or sweatshrit with you. So many times it'll be clear until you get within a mile then suddenly...WHAM! a wall of fog.

Very refreshing when it's hot inland but also very cool if you're going to be out there for a while.

Still...looks like you had some fun.
