got my boat fixed/went fishing

Actuall, I got it back on thursday, and was given instructions to run the boat friday for a few hrs. So if you saw me on friday I was the fool doing laps at vail (like the wake boarders except no one in tow) . Late start, I got very little fishing time on Friday, 3hrs or so, and I didn't catch much (2 and thy were both small, forgot the camera) off before noon.

Monday, totally different story: got to the lake 6:40, on the water just before 7:00. I have been seeing some action on the surface the last few times so I spent the first hr.or so throwing top water for nada. Moved up to the dam and used the few dead shad that I scored from a friend on friday. I had a nice bite going for awhile and then it was slim pickins from 10:30 or so 'till I quit at 3:00. I ended the day just shy of 20 fish and had two that I needed the net for: a nice 4lb 13oz and a big 3.8. I got a few on gulp minnows, purple robo-worm, and one on crank bait. (I threw the crank bait alot today). More than half (including the bigger fish) were on the shad. Here are some pics
