Question: do you unplug your boat lights from your truck before launching?

Replies appreciated.

Thanks

Since I was the cheap bastige, yup I do. Especially now that I goofed up and broke one of the light housings. But it kind of blends in with the rest of the hunk of rust that I am using for a way to get my boat to the lakes. I keep meaning to strip it down and repaint it but life keeps getting in the way. Besides it was FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

No - I leave them connected. Been doing this for 6 years and have never lost a fuse or bulb.

Thanks guys... along with responses from another site, I've decided to leave them (LEDs) plugged in. The problem I had when I unplugged them is that the boat end plug would become corroded and I've had to rework that damned thing a couple of times already... the boat's only a little over a year old...

Again, thanks.

I always disconnect them. It only takes a second and I prefer to be safe. Electricity and water do not mix very well.

I allways disconnect every time!Every trailer I own will blow bulbs if I keep them lugged in .Even with so called water proof lights
