I went out today looking for clams and to see if i could get some Corbina. We got to the beach around 11:00 in the morning. I went looking for sand crabs. After I got some sand crabs I started looking for some Corbina. I caught a few small Surfperch. Then i got one nice Surfperch about 8" long so i kept it. Then my pole almost went into the water. I set the hook I didn't know what i had at first. I thought it was a small shark or a sting ray. But then i saw it in then water it was i big corbina. When he gave up i measured him at 22.5" long. Here is a pic to show you.

is this Sunset beach up north? In Santa Cruz?

No, it is just south of Seal Beach. I might go back there this Saturday.

Those are hella fun on 6lb test with a 4lb fluorocarbon leader :Cool:
