I'm headed to June Lake next week for a one-week stay and would like to know if there is any bass fishing within an hour drive. Should I bring my bass gear or leave it at home? Thanks.
Try some of the slower moving portions of the Owens River outside of Bishop,also there are some small ponds near the town of Bishop,maybe ask around the local tackle shops. But as far as June Lake, the elevation is not right for a warm water species such as bass.

Closest bass fishing is Millpond, Buckley Ponds, Lower O and PVR - all of which are in or around Bishop.
