We found this 35+ inch striped bass at Castaic Lake with a striped bass stuck in its throat. Never bite more than you can chew!:ROFL:

The striper in it's mouth is bigger than my PB striper.

That's crazy. I have heard of this happening before and they do die. Too much to swallow. The gills were still red so it didn't too, too long ago.

wow that is nuts. It is amazing how they go after such a large lunch. Big or small they like to chow down.

I never seen anything like that. Crap man. That would be quite a site to see. Wish I could catch a striper half that size.

we found a 22 lb stripe at silverwood with a 2 lb goldfish stuck in his mouth the same way. my kids friend jumped in the water and wrestled him up on th esea doo. he was still alive. there gills were locked together and we had a hard time pulling them apart. they said he tasted good. we left the goldfish on the shore for the birds.

Yeauhp....we saw it too.....quite amazing.....did you weigh it too ?

I estimate it at 16-18 lbs...

Too bad about that fish....but that was an incredible sight.

Goes to show they are canabalistic

i was at la mirada lake and i saw a bass try to eat another bass 1 centimeter shorter
both were at least 2lb
