jig fish

spent 2 weeks in k-town visiting friend and had a great time. our friends that live up there have a bunch of boats and they let me take out a nice 17ft, lund skiff with down riggers and everything whenever i wanted so that was awesome. the silver (coho) salmon where running in full force and man, are those a fun fish to catch. they really put on a show. i didn't get any kings but it was WFO on cohos in the mornings and evenings. you could also catch all the pink salmon (humpys) you wanted casting a pixie spoon or a kastmaster. all cohos where caught either on a green hoochie with a strip of salted herring or a plug cut herring fished from 30-60 feet on the down rigger. i also did some trout fishing and caught tons of rainbows, dollys and cutthroats...went jigging for halibut a few times and caught fish up to 25 lbs, nothing special. no pics of the trout or halibut.
my biggest coho of the trip
