Me, my family and friends took a trip to Lake Powell, Utah for 4 days and 3 nights. The reason why we decided to go there cuz we wanted to catch a lot of stripers but it didn't happen that way. All we caught was just Channel Catfish and a few Smallmouth Bass. Although, we didn't catch what we came for however we had a blast out there. We past by Zion National Park on our way to Lake Powell as well. More pictures click on the link below.

Welcome to Lake Powell

If you happen to go there for vacation, you should go to BULLFROG instead. I heard that it's good fishing over there but it kind of far though.

Thanks for the report, looks like everybody had a good time.
Not too crowded there, huh?
The photo where you're sitting on top of the slide looks like it's pouring rain back in the hills, I love those summertime showers in the desert.

Thanks for the great report and pictures. I always enjoy seeing anything to do with this lake. Sorry to hear the jail birds weren't in a playful mood but, as you found out, there are plenty of other options in this fishery.

I have been to Powell on numerous occasions and it is my personal opinion that it is the most breathtaking body of water that you can possibly be on. The beauty of the surroundings and the overall expanse of this impoundment are just incredible. If you ever have the opprotunity to go to this lake I strongly suggest that you jump at that chance, I don't believe you will be disappointed.

There is a great website for Lake Powell that can and will give you all the information that you will ever need for this lake. It is run by Wayne Guftason. He is the DFG manager for this lake and has been there since it's inception. This man knows his business and that lake like no other. When you have a chance, take a look at it. It is www.wayneswords.com.
