Got to the pudd around 6.15. Cught a couple of dinks , and missed a lot of fish on the drop shot and slash baits. Started using the 3 wt.fly rod, with 2 lb leader,a beadhead fly, and indicator. For an hour was catching,red ears ,and gills. The surprise came ,when a school of big crappie ,decided to feed.i caught 8. All were over a 1lb. The biggest was 1lb 8oz.

great job slaying those pudd panfish on the fly. i was only able to hook a few of them on my last visit.
im new to this bait fishing stuff. question for you, what's slash baits?

Suspinding jerk bait,like an x rap or other suspending hard baits
