T/O's MARATHON OF MAYHEM I REBROKE MY RECORD OF STRIPER SLAYING

SAT FINALLY ARRIVED I HAD A LONG HARD WEEK OF WORK SO I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SAT,HIT THE WATER AND I WAS OFF I COULDNT EVEN GET THE ROD IN THE HOLDER AND IT WAS BEING HIT, I LOOKED AT THE FISHFINDER AND I WAS RUNNING THRU A MASSIVE BAIT BALL, DOUBLE HOOKUP RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE. I WAS HANGING AROUND THE LAUNCH RAMP FOR SIX DOULBE HOOPUPS ONE RIGHT AFTER ANOTHER THE SCHOOLIES WERE ALL RIELED UP.SO I MOVED UP THE FISH ARM TO SEE WHAT WAS UP,IT WAS ON AND OFF FOR A HALF A MILE ,I DIDNT SEE THE BAITBALL LEVEL INCREASE SO I HEADED FOR THE C-POINT. SO I WAS OVER THE MAIN HUMP MTERED A UNCH OF FISH SOME STTING DOWN OHTERS SUSPENDED, AS THE WENT OFF THE SCREEN THE ONE ROAD GETS SLAMMED THEN THE FISH CRASHES THE SURFACE AND I KNEW IT WAS A NICE BASS ,GOT HIM ON BOARD DID A PIC AND DECIDED TO DO ANOTHER LAP,I GOT AROUND WENT OVER THE AREA METERED THE SAME LOOK ,THEY WENT OFF THE SCREEN AND GOT SLAMMED AGAIN ANOTHER BIG BASS, THESE TWO GUYS IN A BASS BOAT CLOSE TO ME WHERE GETTING REAL TIRED OF ME. SO I FIGURED ONE MORE PASS LINED UP ON IT JUST RIGHT SAW WHAT I WANTED AND DID THE SAME PASS,SAME AS THE FIRST TWO TIMES THE RODS GOES BENDO THIS TIME IT WAS VERY SLUGGISH,SO I STOPPED THE BOAT REELED UP THE SLACK I LET THE OTHER RIG DROP, NEXT THING I KNEW I GOT THE RIG UP AND IT WAS CAUGHT UP IN A BIG BALL OF SOMEONES FISHING LINE SO I DECIDED TO PULL ON IT INTO A BALL TO PUT IN THE TRASH THE LINE KEPT COMING THEN THE NEXT THING I KNEW I SAW A ROD TIP, FIRST THOUGHT WAS A BROKEN ROD WITH ONLY THE TIP, BUT MUCH TO MY SURPRISE THERE WAS A INTACT ROD WITH A REEL , IT WAS A 7FT CALIFORNIA CALICO CLASSIC ROD WITH A NICE AMBASSORDOR REEL , THAT WAS COOL GETTING A ROD AND REEL BACK FROM THE LAKE THAT TOOK ONE FROM YEARS EARLIER. SO IT WAS BACK TO THE TROLL. FROM 7 OCLOCK TILL NOON I HADE DOUBLE AND TRIPLE HOOKUPS OF SCHOOLIES WITH A FEW NICE ONES SCATTERED ALONG THE WAY. I ENDED THE DAY WITH FIVE TRIPLE HOOK UPS, HIT THE MARINA FOR ICE CREAM AT LUNCH THEN HEADED BACK UP THE FISH ARM FOR SOME LUCK I HIT A SCHOOLIE HERE AND THERE ALL AROUND THE AREA IT WAS GETTING CLOSE TO TWO SO I THOUGHT THE MOON WAS COMING INTO THE SPOT SO I HEADE BACK TO THE SKI ARM AND I WAS RIGHT THE MAYHAM CONTINUED. I ENDED UP WITH A LITTLE FLEET OF RENTAL BOATS FOLLOWING ALONG THE WAY , I HAD SAW THEM IN THE TACKLE SHOP AND THE LANUCHING IN THE MORNING THEY ASKED ME WHAT THEY COULD RUN FOR LUCK TROLLING SO I TOLD THEM SHAD COLOR CRANKBAITS ,THANKS KENNY HE ALWAYS TELLS THEM TO FOLLOW ME WHEN HE SEE;S ME IN THE MORNING. BUT THE ACTION WAS PRETTY GREAT ALL DAY I WAS UP NEAR THE BOUYLINE PUTTING ON A SHAOW FOR THE BAIT AND WAIT GUYS WHEN I DECIDED TO TROLL BACK THE MARINA , I WAS COMING ALONG THE BIG CLFFS ALONG THE SHADOW LINES WITH THE RENTAL BOATS IN PERSUIT WITH I CLEARED A POINT AND THE FRAG STARTED SCREAMING MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS I WAS HUNG UP BUT THEN THERE WAS SILENCE THE THE DRAG SCREAMMING AGAIN I KNEW IT WAS A HUGE FISH THE FIGHT WAS ON, HE PULLED DRAG AND DID HUGE HEAD SHAKES I GOT HIM TO ABOUT FORTY FEET AND THEN THE DREADED POP, THE MAIN WEIGHT WAS GONE BUT I STILL FELT FIGHT , I GOT THE RIG UP TO FIND A 4LB BASS, AND ONE OF THE LEADERS BROKE ALL THE OFF, I WAS MAJOR BUMMED BUT I KNEW WHAT COLOR ANS WHAT AREA THE BIG BOYS WERE IN . I ROLLED UP THE GEAR FOR ANOTHER PASS, LEAVING MY FOLLOWERS BEHIND, GOT LINED UP FOR ANOTHER PASS AND A REPLACEMENT LURE IN PLACE ROLLED THRU THE EXCAT SPOT OF THE FIRST BIG FIGHT BUT ZIP SO IT WAS GETTING LATE SO I COTINUED ON THE TROLL WORKING THE SHADE LINE AND THE POINTS ALONG IT ,I GOT A WAYS DOWN AND IT WAS JUST LIKE THE FIRST TIME SCREAM THEN SILENCE THEN SCREAM AGAIN,TURNE TURNED THE BOAT A LITTLE TO THE OPEN WATER AND FOUGHT THIE TIME I GOT TO SEE BIG *** COLOR THE THE LINE FAILURE WITH THE POP, I DIDNT MIND LOSING THE FISH AS MUCH AS THE LURE ,BUT I AT LEAST NOW KNOW WHAT COLOR THE BIG BOYS ARE LIKING AND WERE TO FISH IN THE LATE AFTERNOON IVE HAD LUCK WITH BIG FISH BEFORE SO I KNOW THERE DEAL THE BIG HOLDOVER TROUT DO THE EXACT SAME THING, I KNOW IVE GOT THERE NUMBER,,,,,,,,,,troutonly

Your too much!!!!!! The rental brigade in hot pursuit all day I'm sure. Of course, I'll be in a rental in hot pursuit when DVL reopens in March. Guys will be jockying for position to chase you around the lake. I've already got the fastest rental staked out to leave them in the dust and stay closest to your flank. You'll be throwing chovies and cut bait at me to try to run me off, but I will not give up.
