I planned on getting there by sunrise but woke up late. As I arrived, the fog was thinning out. Got on the water by 8am and headed to one of my favorite spots. Started throwing my new bait I've been anxiously waiting to use.

BASSTAR - Silent Runner Jr.

Hooked the 1st one over a boil. 2nd was caught blind casting parallel to the shoreline. Lost one reaching for my camera and a few dinks caught with LC Sammy 110. I can't get enough of that top water action! Called it a day a little before 10am. Until next time...

What lure is the top one? Looks like a wild Japanese special.

Nice work out there on the Topwater. What kind of setup are you using to throw the Bass star?

I think your right. They are based in Carson, CA. They also have a same length prop bait called Prop Runner Jr. I have Black Chartreuse, but I think Chartreuse Shad would be best for stripers at Castaic.

I purchased them on tacklewarehouse for 15.99

Check them out:

I agree! Especially in the chartreuse shad color.

It has a wide walk so it allows the bait to stay in the target zone for a bit longer.
