Here is the official round 3 score-card. Took my girlfriend down there and promised that I'd get her a carp or I'd shave my beard (she just hates me with a beard.) Got there and started searching the shadows for the elusive beasts.

We looked everywhere up and down the river for them. Keeping our eyes peeled.

(Her eyes are actually wide open.......she's just Asian) lol

Saw a couple cruising the shores so we decided to post up some bait.

Sat around until it got dark..........2nd skunk in a row for yours truely.
She says she still loves me even though I'm a has been carp catcher.

But a promise is a promise and my beautiful beard is gone!

So I'm starting to think that there is a crazy wolf pack of carp that terrorize the Santa Ana River. If you can find them...its wide open....but if not its a slow pick at them. Will this fight go 5 championship rounds? Only time will tell.

Oh and here is the pic of my roommates fish he caught yesterday (round 2).

Around where Imperial crosses. I didn't want to give the spot away after the first day was wide open, but I've been talking to others who fish there and apparently the fish move up and down the river. Watch out for the wolf pack!

She's already caught trout and crappie at Big Bear. Also got some small catfish and bluegill on the local golf course. She's already hooked! Just trying to get her some more species. We got Castaic tomorrow and saltwater next Friday.
I got it pretty rough.......my girlfriend loves fishing and UFC fights. haha

Much cleaner look without the beard IMO...

Gotta shave more so that thing comes in thicker and fuller...then grow it out.

Sorry about the skunk...maybe your GF is BAD luck...

Good man for living up to the bet!! I had the opposite experience. My wife loved the beard once I grew it in (like 10 years after I met her) and its been there ever since. Good thing becaue I hate shaving!

Love the safari hat bro!!!

Inspired by your report, I decided to bike up and down the trail between Lakeview and Imperial. On the way to Imperial on the south side of the trail, we baited up about 3-4 carp and they were spooked really easily. Found a wolf pack 150yds east of Imperial on the North side of the trail and they did not want to touch the corn.

Well we tried and hopefully next time we'll get some. Thanks.

BTW, sorrry for the piggyback lol.

lucky you! my gf comes to my Jiu Jitsu tournaments, but now has since been scared when I get caught.

Back in 06, I was winning a match and got caught in an armlock with a few minutes left, I didn't tap and he ripped some tendons in my elbow pretty bad.

I'm looking into fishing that part of the Santa Ana River also. Trying to find areas where I can park. From looking at Google Maps it looks like there is a dirt parking area next to a gated construction equipment area. Looks like I can also park next to the baseball fields near Yorba Regional Park. Were these the area that you parked at?
