Going to the beach with some friends saturday. Don't really like the beach, but love fishing. So I thought I would try my luck there. going to be fishng light tackle, for perch or whatever is there (was wondering if the halibut come close to the beach here.) we are parking at lindon street area.
Any tips or advice for catching with artifiicials would help. how heavy of weight to use. Don't plan on keeping any fish, unless there are suicide legal halibut in the area. I am a fresh water fisherman, so don't much about surf fishing. last time i went was 2 years ago at oceanside, and managed a 16" halibut and 2 small bass off the jetty.
