Big bear lake 7/26

Hit big bear lake to escape hard waves
from the preferred salt. Turn out to be really
nice relaxing day.
Tried for some late in the game trout!
But they didn't want to play.....
Instead hooked on this 2 lb carp(trash fish).
Was a nice fight on my ultralite rod!! Other than that bunch of catfish and baby bass.
Was told I should of taken the carp out! Instead of releasing it back.
Because it's more of a nuisance in the lake, ohwell
next time.....

It isn't a trash fish, that fish puts up a good fight, why don't you just try a different lake with no carp in it.

Wow, I'm surprised you found it relaxing on a Sunday. I was there on Monday and was amazed at how many jet skis and wakeboard boats were on the lake. Made for some tough fishing conditions. Guess peak summer season is upon us. Glad you caught something, we got skunked except for one small crappie.
