Albies and Bluefin

Headed out Saturday around four pm with Farmy and Rich out of Shelter Island to fish the 302 and work our way sw of the 226 for the night. Made it out in no time, nice weather we fished a few paddy's and and the porpoise on the way out for nada. We set up our drift chute and fished sharks for the night, wide open on blue's. Started trolling south west of the 226 and came up on some bluefin working a small bait ball but they sunk out before we could get on them. Lots of small bait balls the bft were working. Worked the area 25/53 and got a double albi strike, one on the fish trap and other on an archer bar, One popped off the other stuck. We worked this general area for five albis and one bluefin. Albi's hit everything in the spread, we were trolling mostlyand small jet heads and daisy chains.

A fifty lb bluefin smokin the drag ,,,,,,,,,,thats what i caught last time out of diego 90 miles out,the water was so rough 90 percent of the boat was sick and in bed for the first stop which was wide open ,so me and four other guys started filling the sacks,,,my old *** got worked but was it fun,,,,,,,,
