Jumped on the Toronado for the first time saturday night for a day and a halfer. I guess the reports of monster swells kept alot of people at home but still ended up with 20 guys on the boat. Anyways, I was very impressed with the boat and crew. If you havent been on this boat you should check it out. Topnotch.

Well the gameplan was to hit up tanner for the yellows but i guess bait issues had the capt change game plans. Went southwest looking for albies and kelp hopping instead. Fishing was super slow as we ended up with 10 albies one yellow and a dodo. Saw alot of fish and found two huge paddies but they werent ready to eat just yet i guess. I still had a good time. Met alot of really cool OG's on the boat aswell. Had an awesome steak dinner aswell. Sorry forgot the pic of the steak dinner but enjoy the few pics i did take.

Woke up to these monster swells...:Embarrassed:

Stopped on a kelp around 4 pm or so and nobody was home. Just about to give up and see three guys hookup and i finally feel it. Slam the hook home and im on for 30 seconds and get broken off. Great there goes my chance. Grab the 20 lb rod and send another sardine out and within 30 seconds im bit and so are three other guys including my buddy. He finally gets his first real fish after 3 years of ocean fishing. Its a nice one though. His was close to 30 and mines about 15.

How did you manage to brace yourself against those huge swells while battling that albie?

Waves look so big that it appears slick!!

Glad you got one on the board and your buddy scored a trophy!

Nice report. In your second pic I see Earl "The Pearl" McVicar in the background (guy with the camera), he's one hell of a stick and a great guy to learn from.

Reports look good for our 2 day. Seahorse went offshore on Sunday and got 17 Albies. I'm just hoping more will be around in a few day's.
