I took Hiro out sunday evening to Marina del rey harbor for a little halibut revenge...
Instant action on YFC, beefy ones too, about 2-3 lbs regularly..
they were tearin our gulp jigs up b4 they could hit bottom zone...
Mixed in with a few smaller silver croakers....
AND the occasional "Dank" cuda...
It was WFO on those species but we wanted fish of the flatter variety !
BUT
about 30-40 minutes into it...
Hiro.....drives on 'em !
I heaR........AAAAOHH ! IN A GIRLISH TONE ! Ha ha ha ha...oh yeah !
Hookup....
Drag peeler !
Legal !
Yes yes yes yes !
Redemption !

It turned out to be the only halibut we got but thats all good..
we had plenty of fun and Hiro had a little payback from Saturday !
We ended up catching:
Hiro:
about 30 YFC
about 12-15 silver croaker
about 10 dank cuda
1 halibut
Gary
about 30 YFC
about 12-15 silver croaker
about 10 dank cuda
Not bad for a quick nightime sunday outing...and the tide was all wrong to boot !
Till next favorable tide ...
