So, my friend and I took his 8-year old son with us this morning and hiked down into Chamise Cove at Silverwood Lake. It only took us about 10 minutes to walk down, so that was very nice. We all baited up with nightcrawlers and threw our stuff out. I got a hit about 5 minutes later. I set the hook, began the reel, and the turd threw the hook. Bummer. After that, I got a bunch of hits, but nothing stuck for me. My friend, however, had the hot stick of the group. He ended up with three catfish and five striper. We were off the water by 10, as the lake lice were getting out of hand and making the water a little rough. Besides, there was a bunch of salad on our lines each and every time we reeled them in. Got some good fillets off the fish and I'm not too proud to take some of the bounty when it's offered to me. Made me some delicious fish tacos for lunch. Yum yum. Well, tight lines everyone. Later.

Haven't heard a report from the wood in awhile. Good to hear your friend got a few.
