Went to NPH on Saturday with Nick and Kevin again. Hit up the usual AO and got the usual suspects on Big Hammer 3" and 3/16oz heads and a little bit of dropshotting. I can honestly say that the swimmies out fish the dropshot like 10:2, so you DS'ers out there might want to try these BH's.

I got my personal best spottie today that weighed in between 3.2-3.4lbs and was a great fight. Almost lost him to moorings, docks, and pilings, but I pulled him out.

Overall a slow day as far as bites, but when they did bite, we capitalized. Bites were far and few between as well as very, very subtle. Even my PB bit like a four incher.

Totals:
Me- 11 spotties
Nick- 7 spotties
Kevin- 1 spottie
1 sandie
Both miniscule:LOL:

Very nice spottie!!!! Not a 3+ pound fish but a solid 2 fore sure. Once you hook and land a 3+ pound spottie you will be amazed how big they actually are!

keep up that good work, nice feesh....you guys are developing some great fishing skills....keep on them..

P.S.

Start noting the times of the tides you are there with greater succes, make mental notes (or a physical binder is great too)

Start planning your trips around the times when you see the bigger fish more active.....Nice work !
Gary

Congrats !

Nice fish man,

Maybe over the summer we can fish together, we just got a skiff for King Harbor.

Hit me up when you can.
